J&R's Wedding Day

Full disclosure: this was our own wedding, and so much heart, time, and thought went into every single detail. We wanted the day to feel vibrant, fun, and unapologetically us, and it truly was. This disco-inspired, glam, and colorful celebration left our guests completely speechless and created an energy we’ll never forget. While I (Jess) planned and designed every element of the day, we hired an incredible coordinator to take the reins on the actual wedding day so we could be fully present and soak up every moment with our friends and family. It was the perfect balance of planning, creativity, and pure joy, and we wouldn’t change a single thing.
Every detail of this day was planned with so much love and intention. We wanted something bold, vibrant, and far from a traditional white wedding: a full-on disco-glam celebration where everyone could just have fun. Guests were welcomed with lavender gin fizzes, margaritas, and lavender lemonades instead of champagne, and we made sure no one went hungry with our favourite comfort foods like sliders, mac & cheese, and chicken skewers during cocktail hour. Personal touches made the day feel extra special; from custom friendship bracelets for every guest to a card box featuring our first dance song and the time Millie was born. I even handmade our Faux flower arch, and Rob’s mom created my engagement ring and helped us make each other’s wedding bands, details we’ll cherish forever.
