Vibrant Disco-Glam Wedding at Dolly’s & The Common | Edmonton Wedding Planner & Designer

Full disclosure that strengthens this feature: this was our own wedding, designed and planned by me (Jess, founder of Truly Fitz). Creating this day allowed me to bring my full creative vision to life — a colourful, disco-inspired celebration filled with intentional design, bold details, and a guest experience that felt vibrant, fun, and completely unique. While I planned and designed the entire event, we hired an experienced coordinator so we could be fully present and enjoy the day with our family and friends — a choice I recommend to every couple.
This wedding was built around a disco-glam, colourful, and unapologetically joyful aesthetic, proving that modern weddings don’t need to be neutral to be elevated. Guests arrived to cocktail-hour favourites like lavender gin fizzes, lavender lemonades, margaritas, and a menu of comfort-food canapés including sliders, mac & cheese, and chicken skewers. Every detail was chosen with intention: from custom friendship bracelets for each guest to a card box featuring our first dance song and Millie’s birth time. I even crafted our faux floral arch by hand, and Rob’s mom designed my engagement ring and guided us through creating each other’s wedding bands — pieces we’ll cherish forever.
